For InterChem SLC<\/strong>, supporting sports and youth development is not just a part of corporate social responsibility\u2014it is a long-standing company tradition and a true part of its DNA. Basketball, volleyball, sporting events, athlete recovery, and cultural-educational initiatives\u2014all reflect how sports and young people become a driving force for social progress.<\/p>\n

Kesselman Foundation for the Support of Youth and Women\u2019s Basketball<\/h3>\n

A vivid example of long-term support is the Kesselman Foundation<\/strong>, named after the Honored Coach of Ukraine Yosyp Yakovych Kesselman<\/strong>, who devoted his life to training young athletes. The idea for the foundation came from Borys Litvak<\/strong>, Hero of Ukraine and Director of the Youth Sports School No. 2, together with Anatoliy Reder<\/strong>, CEO of InterChem. The foundation\u2019s president became Kesselman\u2019s son, Viktor Vorozhko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The foundation\u2019s goal is to support youth and women\u2019s basketball while promoting values of humanity and compassion. Its mission extends beyond providing coaching and educational support\u2014it also focuses on implementing modern management and marketing approaches, creating contemporary training conditions, and nurturing future champions.<\/p>\n

InterChem Basketball Team<\/h3>\n

Within a few years of activity, the foundation helped solidify InterChem\u2013SDYUSSHOR No. 2 Odesa<\/strong> on Ukraine\u2019s basketball map. The club now competes with two rosters in the Premier<\/strong> and First Leagues<\/strong>, becoming a true sports ambassador of Odesa at the national level.<\/p>\n

InterChem\u2013SDYUSSHOR named after Borys Litvak,<\/strong> the main women\u2019s team, is a two-time Champion of Ukraine<\/strong> and a two-time Ukrainian Cup<\/strong> winner. Over the years, the team has earned gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Women\u2019s Superleague<\/strong>, consistently demonstrating a high level of play.<\/p>\n

InterChem\u2013SDYUSSHOR\u20132<\/strong>, competing in the First League<\/strong>, finished the 2024 season<\/strong> in third place and reached the Final Six\u2014an<\/strong>\u00a0important platform for young, promising athletes who later join the main team.<\/p>\n

The team is led by Iryna Shchypakina<\/strong>, one of Odesa\u2019s greatest basketball players, an International Master of Sports<\/strong>, and a renowned coach\u2014herself a student of Yosyp Kesselman.<\/p>\n

Sport as a Medium of International Communication<\/h3>\n

The year 2024<\/strong> became symbolic for the integration of sport and civic identity. During EURO 2024 in Germany<\/strong>, with the support of InterChem SLC<\/strong>, two large-scale initiatives were realized\u2014powerful expressions of Ukraine\u2019s resilience and spirit.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeace Has a Price\u201d Campaign in Stuttgart<\/h5>\n

During a match, Ukrainian fans\u2014supported by InterChem\u2014unfolded a massive banner featuring the portrait of fallen Azov soldier and fan Nazarii Hryntsevych<\/strong>, generated by AI from photos of other fallen Ukrainian defenders.<\/p>\n

The inscription \u201cPeace Has a Price\u201d<\/strong> became a powerful message to Europe. The initiative received worldwide media coverage, including in The New York Times<\/em>, The Guardian<\/em>, Bild<\/em>, and La Repubblica<\/em>. Despite UEFA\u2019s general ban on political banners, this act underlined that today, sport cannot be separated from the fight for freedom and justice.<\/p>\n

Installation of the Destroyed \u201cSonyachny\u201d Stadium Tribune<\/h5>\n

In central Munich, visitors saw a large-scale installation of the destroyed \u201cSonyachny\u201d Stadium<\/strong> from Kharkiv\u2014demolished by Russian shelling. The project was financed by InterChem SLC<\/strong> and became one of the most visited cultural exhibitions of EURO 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The installation included real fragments of stadium structures, immersive VR-360 content<\/strong>, multilingual information panels, and eyewitness photographs. Thousands of visitors\u2014including politicians, diplomats, and journalists\u2014left emotional feedback about its impact. The exhibition later appeared at the Olympic Games<\/strong>, turning into a global reminder of the war and the true cost of peace.<\/p>\n

Both initiatives demonstrated how sport can convey truth and values far beyond national borders. InterChem SLC<\/strong> showed that investing in sport means investing in the future\u2014in Ukraine\u2019s voice on the international stage.<\/p>\n
