The purpose of the trip was to strengthen economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to present the capabilities of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical sector.
Earlier this year, Mr. Reder was appointed Head of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Committee within the Ukraine–Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council. The Council was renewed in 2025 under the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enhance communication between the two countries’ business communities and to promote trade, investment, services, and technological partnerships.
During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation took part in a series of high-level meetings. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aimed at facilitating market access, encouraging investment, and creating additional tools for bilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of the Saudi-Ukrainian Business Council, Anatoliy Reder and Ukrainian representatives held negotiations with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, where they presented the potential of Ukraine’s pharmaceutical industry. Following the discussions, a separate memorandum was signed between InterChem, Toronto Trading Company, and a network of medical institutions in Saudi Arabia.
This partnership opens new opportunities for the export of Ukrainian pharmaceutical products, the development of medical service hubs, and joint innovation projects. The Ukrainian side emphasized that this progress was made possible through the active engagement of the business community, diplomatic institutions, and sectoral committees.
Ukraine continues to expand its economic horizons and deepen cooperation with key international partners. As one of the country’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, InterChem plays an important role in developing new opportunities and advancing Ukraine’s industry in global markets.
