InterChem SLC embodies a scientific approach to the pharmaceutical business, innovation, and an unparalleled R&D foundation. Within our large-scale manufacturing complex operates a robust R&D division: several in-house advanced laboratories; a long-standing, productive partnership with the O.V. Bogatsky Physico-Chemical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; and, since 2005, the Research & Technological Laboratory of Finished Dosage Forms (R&D SDF Lab, formerly Formula B LLC) established jointly with the German company Meggle.
InterChem SLC provides high-quality services in pharmaceutical development of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), solid dosage forms, and API reference standards & impurity reference materials.
The Research & Technological Laboratory of APIs (R&T API Lab) develops methods for the synthesis and purification of APIs not only for in-house production but also under contract. The unit’s capacity enables clients to commission multi-step syntheses (up to 9 stages) of high complexity.
The R&T API Lab develops and industrializes processes for all generic APIs produced by InterChem SLC (including clonidine, proserin, mebicar, clonazepam, and others). In addition, the company’s laboratories have implemented industrial technologies for original medicines such as Amixin®, Gidazepam®, and Levana® (cynazepam). The laboratory is actively advancing new directions, with several products currently at the pilot-scale manufacturing stage.
At the request of pharmaceutical manufacturers, InterChem SLC has developed purification methodologies for novocaine, camphorsulfonic acid, analgin, dibazol, dopamine, and others, as well as routes of synthesis for several generic substances.

The R&T API Lab within the Chemical Research Department designs synthesis and purification methods for APIs for internal needs and on a contract basis.
Pharmaceutical development of solid dosage forms
InterChem SLC is a co-founder of the R&D Laboratory for Solid Dosage Forms (FormulaB), which conducts contract R&D in full compliance with current Ukrainian requirements.
Development of API reference standards and impurity reference materials
One activity of the laboratory is targeted synthesis of organic compounds, enabling quality control of both in-house substances and incoming API raw materials.
Testing services and chemical analyses
InterChem’s Testing Laboratory performs chemical analysis of drinking, purified, wastewater, and artesian water; chemical products; food products; fertilizers; and workplace air.
